Working alongside Claire Lutzow Architect we provided a comprehensive structural design that transformed the space to meet the client's vision.

The house is a Grade II listed property, located within the Green Belt in the London Borough of Bromley, requiring the structural alterations to be approached with careful consideration of the heritage elements of the building and detailed coordination with the heritage officer.

Key features of the project included:
- Opening up the side walls to create new bi-fold doors, seamlessly connecting the living space to the garden terrace and a new kitchen extension.
- Designing a steel frame structure to support internal timber beams while ensuring lateral stability for the two-story building.
- Adding a new retaining wall along the garden boundary to secure the public footpath.
- Creating a slender roof design that allows for an open, light-filled kitchen space.

It was a pleasure bringing these design elements together to enhance both functionality and aesthetics for the client and we are pleased to hear that the project has received planning permission and listed building consent!
